Celebrating 55 years in 2023, Shihata’s Orchard has been a staple of fall family fun for generations. With its rolling hills, vibrant atmosphere, and delicious apples, Shihata’s Orchard truly has something for everyone.

Started in 1968 by late Mahmoud “Moe” Shihata and his wife Mary Ellen as a 12-acre hobby farm, Shihata’s Orchard has seen its fair share of changes over the years. Moe hailed from Egypt, where his father was a head of the department of agriculture in an Egyptian province. Moe traveled to the US to attend the University of Wisconsin - Madison and received his doctorate in soil sciences. While attending school, Moe met Mary Ellen, originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin.

The Shihata’s son, David, and his wife, Linda, took over the orchard and began to expand into the agritourism realm. They added many things that we know and love today like the Bakery Barn and the Country Fun Park. They have a passion for family and made sure that when families visited their orchard, they would surely make memories that last a lifetime.

In 2020, current owners Collin and Gabby Huge and Gabby’s father, Paul DeVoss, purchased the orchard from Dave and Linda. Knowing nothing about apples (aside from they taste good), Collin, Gabby, and Paul have spent countless hours and energy learning about their crop, customers, and everything in between.
